Anne-Marie MacIntosh
Hailed by the Globe and Mail as one of “The Voices of a Generation,” Canadian soprano Anne-Marie MacIntosh is an astute young artist with diverse versatility. Her repertoire centers on the heroines of bel-canto, romantic French opera, Mozart and Handel, with an affinity for contemporary opera. A recent graduate of the Adler Fellowship at San Francisco Opera, Anne-Marie debuted with the Merola Opera Program as Diana in Jake Heggie's If I Were You, and with San Francisco Opera at the War Memorial Opera House as Marzelline in Fidelio. Anne-Marie is also an alumna of the Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Program where she debuted as Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and was recently invited to return in the title role of Gounod's Roméo et Juliette. Most recently Anne-Marie made her debut as Violetta in La Traviata with Brott Opera at the Brott Music Festival in Canada to critical acclaim being described by Opera Canada as “ready to unleash her Violetta on the world”.
